#7 The key to understanding is a curious mind

The Key to Understanding is a Curious Mind

This week, I had a training session with an engineer who seeks comfort in facts and the scientific world. Our conversations during the session sparked my creativity and inspired me to explore a topic that builds on the Humanship Scale and Humanship Triangle, which we launched on social media a few weeks ago.

Science is the process of human minds delving into subjects and attempting to piece them together into a form of “truth.” But honestly—the whole world is an illusion, and its vastness is infinite. This leads me to believe that animals might be far more intelligent than we humans are. They live in harmony with nature and are part of the biological system, where their existence is natural and balanced. Humans, on the other hand, have lost this harmony and become the environmental polluters threatening to destroy our planet. If we don’t act now, the time will come when we can no longer drink the water or eat the vegetables from the earth, because we have poisoned the very nature that keeps us alive.

A Beloved Child Has Many Names

This brings me to a concept meant to express love, but which instead has given rise to so much violence and misery—misery that in turn destroys the beautiful nature that sustains us. It seems that humanity has become its own worst enemy in the pursuit of survival. Across the world, there are thousands of names for God, varying by culture, religion, and tradition.

In Christian traditions, we find God, Jehovah, Yahweh, Elohim, and many other names used to represent the highest power. In Judaism, names such as YHWH, Elohim, and Adonai are used to describe the eternal and almighty God. In Islam, God is known as Allah. Hinduism offers names such as Brahman, Vishnu, Shiva, and Krishna—each referring to divine energy that creates, sustains, and upholds the universe.

Ancient Teachings with a Modern Touch?

Despite the many different names and concepts, there is a common thread running through all these traditions—a view of God as a force that permeates all life. What could we achieve if we approached these spiritual ideas with curiosity and focused on the common denominators between them?

Might we come to see that these different doctrines are, in essence, describing the same universal energy? Could such a perspective pave the way to peace and unity instead of conflict and division?

The realm of quantum physics offers us a powerful insight into how everything in the universe is interconnected through energy. Everything is vibration—every thought, every feeling, every action is a form of energy rippling through time and space. If the ancient teachings of God are actually referring to this universal energy, then it is the same force we recognize in All That Is—nature, every living being, and perhaps even the mysteries of the cosmos.

Opposing Forces Seeking Unity

Let us entertain the idea of peace and unity versus conflict and division. It mirrors the eternal interplay of opposing forces, as illustrated by the concept of Yin and Yang—where balance is achieved by embracing both light and darkness. In music, we find major and minor keys; opposites that, when combined, create harmony and beauty. Electricity, too, relies on positive and negative poles—forces that oppose each other yet cooperate to produce the energy that powers our lives.

Humanship & Leadership

Regardless of the path we follow, the teachings we believe in, or the name we give to God or universal energy, it all comes down to humanity—our ability to understand, relate to, and consciously lead this energy. Humanship is about becoming aware of our own energy, understanding how it affects our surroundings, and learning how to create balance and harmony in our relationships.

Together, We Create a World of Harmony

Humanship & Leadership is about approaching life with curiosity and then consciously guiding our own energetic frequency—regardless of spiritual teachings or the names we use for God or the universal energy. By becoming aware of how our energy affects the world around us—our relationships with animals, people, and nature—we can choose to foster harmony, unity, and cooperation.

Curiosity is the key—if we choose to look at differences with open minds and explore the shared essence in various traditions, then together we can create a world of peace and unity. By understanding the flow of our own energy and being mindful of the way we impact others, we contribute to a global community rooted in respect, coherence, collaboration, and positive energy.

When we choose curiosity over fear and control, we open the door to sustainable and meaningful relationships—with ourselves and the world around us. Expand your curiosity toward nature and how we, as humans, can live in unity with its forces. That is the path toward creating a more sustainable world—one where we live in harmony with the environment and protect it for future generations of animals and humans alike.
